A lot has been said after the Kansas City Chiefs' huge loss against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. And, a few days before the Chiefs' Week 6 game against the Buffalo Bills, it seems that the people are still not over the Chiefs dropping their first game this season.
On his podcast ‘Geoff Schwartz Is Smarter Than You', former Chiefs offensive guard Geoff Schwartz is throwing some shade on reigning Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes as he defended the Chiefs' offensive line – which coincidentally includes his younger brother, Mitchell.
“I am not wrong when I talk about offensive line play.” the older Schwartz said (via Kenny King Jr on Twitter). “You may not want to hear it folks, but Pat Mahomes is not playing very well in the pocket right now.”
Wow #ChiefsKingdom Y’all got your Tackle’s brother bashing your QB? He said Mahomes isn’t good in the pocket and don’t argue with him about OL play. 👀 pic.twitter.com/YU6CgWi2cc

Schwartz, who spent a season in Kansas City in 2013, went on to seemingly defend the team's OL as he continued to critique and break down Patrick Mahomes' errors this season.
“Is the Chiefs offensive line perfect? No, they're not. They've also made errors as well.” he said. “But in general, pass protection is a balance between the blocking unit, which includes the running back and tight end, and the quarterback. And right now in Kansas City, it's not happening.”
After Sunday's tough loss against the Raiders, Mahomes already came out to claim that he made crucial mistakes in that game by ‘not finding the right reads'. I guess for Schwartz, these words won't be enough until Mahomes plays better in the pocket, at least in his eyes.
For what it's worth, Mahomes has had another incredible season thus far tallying 1,474 passing yards with 13 passing touchdowns and a couple of rushing TDs in the defending champions' first five games.
