The city of Kansas City held their breath as Patrick Mahomes limped off of the field early in the Kansas City Chiefs game versus the Jaguars per Adam Schefter.
Mahomes made his way back into the game, but his leg will be something to monitor moving forward.

The gunslinging quarterback is off to a blazing start in the game with over 300 yards and two touchdowns in the first half. Mahomes is walking around gingerly but the injury doesn't seem to be hindering his play on the field.
The Chiefs are expected to have another season that sees their explosive offense take control of games early. Today, Kansas City got off to a fast start in the game with two touchdowns going to Sammy Watkins.
Article Continues BelowThe fans in Kansas City can take a sigh of relief as their franchise quarterback is still making plays with his legs. If it ever came down to Mahomes missing time, veteran Matt Moore would become the starter under center.
As for now, Mahomes is working his magic through the air against a stingy Jaguars defense. Last season, Jacksonville was the only team that held the young quarterback to zero touchdowns in a game.
That's mighty impressive as Mahomes ended with 50 touchdowns in his second season in the NFL. On the other side of the field, Nick Foles has already been ruled out in this game with a shoulder injury.
Foles took a nasty hit to his shoulder as he connected with D.J. Chark for a 35-yard score in the first quarter.
