The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars pretty convincingly on Sunday, by a final score of 40-26.
However, not everything went perfectly for Kansas City. One play, in particular, was actually kind of funny. Patrick Mahomes went for that no-look pass of his. The idea is to keep defenders not even looking towards the guy he wants to throw, getting him more open.
This time there was a pretty obvious flaw though. Travis Kelce was already wide open. Mahomes could've stared him down all he wanted, and that fact wouldn't have changed.
Instead, he went for the no-look pass and missed his mark by quite a bit. Instead of an easy touchdown, the result of the play was a pretty embarrassing incompletion.
Mahomes took to Twitter to joke about the situation, and Kelce joined in.
😂😂😂😂 ya never owe me anything brotha

Well, the good news is they're having fun with the situation. Both seemed to think it was pretty funny and clearly the chemistry is there.
Although, I might have to disagree with Travis Kelce here. Mahomes might owe him a lunch.
At the end of the day, Kelce ended with three receptions for 88 yards. Solid stats, but think about how nice they would've been had he completed that. Suddenly you're staring at a four reception, 96 yards and one touchdown game. That's something everyone could get behind.
Mahomes on the other hand finished with 378 passing yards and three touchdowns (no interceptions). That missed pass didn't hit his numbers in nearly the same way.
Of course, neither really care – and for good reason, as the Chiefs won and now start the year off with a 1-0 record.
