Sammy Watkins was a huge part of the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl LIV win. However, a huge fraction of Chiefs Kingdom was concerned with what Watkins was going to do after they completed the spectacular victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

The Chiefs wide receiver announced ahead of the Super Bowl that he was looking to take a season-long break if the Chiefs won the Super Bowl. Now that they've achieved that, many are wondering if he will push through with his pre-Super Bowl declaration.

He cleared the air on SiriusXM NFL Radio. He was asked a myriad of questions during his guest appearance, but he helped clear the air by clarifying that he's not going to take a season-long hiatus from the league.

He said that while he's not going to take a break, he'll still do what's necessary to keep his mental health up. Moreover, he's not concerned with the fact that his contract will be up at the end of next season.

“I don’t control the contract, a trade or if they’re going to give me a bigger contract,” the Chiefs talent said. “That’s not my worry. I’m not really focused on the money aspect of it. I’m really focused on my health, mental health and really checking in on and making sure I’m OK with my life, my family, my wife, my kids. Once I figure that out, I think I’ll be fine.”

During the Super Bowl, the Chiefs WR made five receptions for 98 yards. This season also saw his resurgence as a wideout, finishing with 673 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
