The Kansas City Chiefs officially locked up the No. 1 seed in the AFC on Sunday with their dominant 35-3 victory over the Oakland Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium.
All the Chiefs needed to do to clinch home-field advantage was earn a win over the struggling Raiders, and Patrick Mahomes and company came through in a big way.
The victory helped Kansas City hold off the New England Patriots for the top spot, with Bill Belichick's squad now settled into the No. 2 spot in the conference.

After suffering a two-game losing streak down the stretch, the Chiefs were able to overwhelm the Raiders from start to finish in cruising to the win.
Mahomes helped his NFL MVP case by throwing for 281 yards and two touchdowns, as Kansas City jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead in the first quarter and didn't look back from there.
What's been most impressive about the Chiefs this season is their ability to keep the offensive flowing pretty much the entire year, even after releasing former running back Kareem Hunt due to his off-the-field troubles.
Andy Reid's team will now be able to relax a little before returning to action in a few weeks, as they'll wait to find out their opponent after the Wild Card round next weekend.
No matter who they play, it's clear that the Chiefs are good enough offensively to put points up on just about anyone.
What will decide how far this team can go will be its ability to play consistently on defense, which has been an area of concern throughout the season.
