The Kansas City Chiefs know hot to treat former players, apparently. The latest of people to receive nice gestures from the franchise was Tamba Hali, who returning to Kansas City to ink a one-day deal, allowing him to receive a ceremonial retirement as a member of the franchise.

Good news, Chiefs fans. There's video proof of the event. You can watch it below:

Tamba Hali never actually played for a different National Football League franchise during his career. After finishing up his stay at Penn State, then being drafted by the Chiefs in the first round of the 2006 NFL Draft, he'd call Arrowhead home until he hung up his cleats following the 2017 season.

In a semantics kind of way, though, he was actually released by the Chiefs in 2017, then never suited up for another team. The above ceremonial retirement deal kinda puts a more official cap on his playing career.

Tamba Hali finished his career with 89.5 sacks, six Pro Bowl appearances, and goes down as one of the best defensive players in Kansas City history. Not too bad for a guy who was only a four-star recruit coming out of high school and fell to the 20th pick in the NFL Draft.
