The original figure that was reported on JuJu Smith-Schuster's new deal with the Kansas City Chiefs was $10.75 million. But while he could still conceivably earn that figure, it's not as clear cut as it originally seemed.
According to Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio, the actual base value that JuJu Smith-Schuster will receive is just $3.25 million. The guaranteed figure there is even smaller at $2.49 million, which is comprised of a $1.455 million signing bonus and a guaranteed base salary of $1.035 million. To get the full $3.25 million, he'd need to meet workout and game-to-game targets.
The rest of the $10.75 million comes from various incentives that makes it unlikely for him to approach the figure barring a basically spotless season of individual success for JuJu Smith-Schuster and team success for the Chiefs.

The deal includes $7.5 million in incentives, at least $2 million of which hinge on the Chiefs at least getting to the AFC Championship. …
For now, here’s the truth. The reports of $10.75 million on a one-year deal are the opposite of truth, with the fluff representing more than twice the true base amount of the deal.
At the end of the day, it's still a decent chunk of money. But JuJu Smith-Schuster has his work cut out for him in his first season with the Chiefs.
