The Kansas City Chiefs made a splash in their wide receiver corps by picking up former Pittsburgh Steelers standout JuJu Smith-Schuster. Safe to say Patrick Mahomes is pretty hyped for the move.

Mahomes responded to his new Chiefs teammate once he made the news official on Twitter.

“Turn me up brotha!!!” said the Chiefs quarterback.

It didn't take long for JuJu to respond to the Chiefs QB.

Smith-Schuster is joining Kansas City on an incentive-laden deal, which should give him some extra motivation to perform in his new uniform.

Via Nick Shook of NFL.com:

Smith-Schuster is signing a one-year, $10.75 million max deal with the Chiefs, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Taylor Bisciotti reported. The deal is for a $3 million base salary, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported, with the remainder potentially coming in incentives.

JuJu Smith-Schuster spoke out on the move in much more detail, expressing his excitement to play with such a high-level quarterback, arguably the best in the game right now, and getting a chance at his first Super Bowl ring.

Via Taylor Bisciotti:

“I am going to play with a future Hall of Fame QB, to play with one of the best to ever do it. My goal as a player is to win, so I’m going to Kansas City with the hopes of winning a Super Bowl.”

After playing several seasons with a slowly deteriorating Ben Roethlisberger, JuJu Smith-Schuster now finds a place in one of the most enviable positions for a wide receiver in the NFL.

JuJu-Smith Schuster has had a couple of down seasons of late, failing to hit 900 receiving yards in each of the last three seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers after doing so in his first two years and making the Pro Bowl in his sophomore season. He'll look to regain his form on the Kansas City Chiefs.
