The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Los Angeles Chargers, and Travis Kelce is one of the reasons why the Chiefs prevailed. His performance in this game helped him secure one of the most impressive milestones a tight end can achieve in pro football.

James Palmer was one of the first to report the career highlight.

Kelce has always been one of the Chiefs' top wideout options ever since he started playing regular minutes in 2014. He has never finished a season with his receiving yards going below 800. The four-time Pro Bowler has also made 35 receiving touchdowns in his seven-year career. He's on pace to finish with at least 1000 passing yards since there are still so many games left to play.

However, it's not like Kelce's season has been smooth-sailing on his way to becoming the youngest tight end to complete the milestone.

During the team's loss to the Green Bay Packers, Kelce blamed himself for not completing the play a couple of times. He knows he should have done better than his 63-yard, one-touchdown game.

“Have to catch the ball when I’m in the end zone,” Kelce said, per USA Today. “I should’ve caught the ball on third-and-whatever.”

He's more than made up for his poor outing since then. He got his second-highest receiving yards tally this season at 92 yards. He achieved that and a receiving touchdown in only seven receptions.

However, Travis Kelce and the Chiefs don't have time to rest. They face a tough opponent in the Oakland Raiders next week. He and his team have to throw aside personal accolades and the win and to focus on getting the W over the Raiders.
