The Kansas City Chiefs enjoyed a bye week from the postseason after locking up the second seed. However, despite the extra week of rest, they are far from healthy. On Friday, the team announced that tight end Travis Kelce (knee) and defensive lineman Chris Jones (calf) are questionable to play in the divisional round against the Houston Texans.

In addition, veteran cornerback Morris Claiborne (shoulder) is out for the home matchup.

Kelce practiced in a limited fashion throughout the week. Jones did not practice on Wednesday or Friday, but did appear on Thursday as a limited participant.

For Kelce, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said the tight end's injury is “more a bruise than anything,” per Jill Toyoshiba of The Kansas City Star. He gave an indication that he should be able to play on Sunday, despite the injury.

“He was out there practicing, did a nice job with the plays that was in,” Reid said.

As for Jones, Reid said that the star lineman “tweaked his calf” on Thursday. The Chiefs are taking a cautious approach with his recovery heading into the divisional round.

“We held him out today,” Reid said. “We’ll just see how he does.”

While the Chiefs aren't in particularly good health, the Texans are coming off of an overtime thriller against the Buffalo Bills. Like Kansas City, Houston also has a few on their injury report.

On Friday, the Texans announced that wide receiver Will Fuller, tight end Darren Fells, cornerback Keion Crossen, wide receiver Kenny Stills, cornerback Johnathan Joseph, tight end Jordan Akins and safety Jahleel Addae are all questionable.
