Multiple teams have expressed interest in former Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. He reports that one league source told ESPN that Hunt will have a job “sooner rather than later.”
During a press conference last week, Chicago Bears' head coach Matt Nagy told reporters that “I was raised … to give guys second chances, not third chances,” in regards to Hunt. Not exactly dismissing the possibility. Nagy was the offensive coordinator for the Chiefs in 2017, Hunt's rookie year when he led the NFL rushing with 1,327 yards.
Hunt was released by the Chiefs on Nov. 30 after video surfaced of him assaulting a woman last February at a hotel in Cleveland. He is on the commissioner's exempt list, so he would need to be reinstated before he could sign with a team.
He has been undergoing anger-management counseling daily, a source tells Schefter, and appears to be making progress with the counseling, which has helped him draw the interest of some teams.

“I talked to Kareem, completely wanting to know how he's doing,” Nagy said. “We had a good conversation. Here's a kid that I spent a year coaching on offense. It's a tough situation. I wanted to see … making sure that he's OK but understanding, too, the situation that happened is unfortunate for everybody. He knows that.”
Although Kareem Hunt only played in 11 games for the Chiefs this season before the video was released, he was still able to total 824 yards on the ground, which ended up ranking 20th overall in the NFL.
