The Jacksonville Jaguars stamped their first playoff berth in 10 years with a convincing 45-7 drumming of the Houston Texans on Sunday afternoon. Things continued to hedge in the right direction for Jacksonville on Monday, as Ian Rapoport of The NFL Network reported that wide receiver Marqise Lee is expected to be back with the team in time for the playoffs after suffering an ankle injury.

This is encouraging news for the Jaguars, a team ravaged by injuries at the position this season with Pro Bowl wide receiver Allen Robinson out for the year and Allen Hurns still on the mend with an ankle injury. In fact, Jacksonville was down to just four active wide receivers on Sunday against the Texans.

Lee is one of the most reliable contributors in the passing game for Jacksonville, boasting team-best marks with 56 catches for 702 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He has recorded five or more catches and at least 65 receiving yards seven times this season.

The 26-year-old was hampered by a knee injury earlier this season, but he didn't miss a game.

The Jaguars will likely take a precautionary route with Lee given his well-documented injury history since he came into the league. They finish out the regular season with a pair of road games against the San Francisco 49ers and Tennessee Titans.
