DeVante Parker was one of the standout players last season for the Miami Dolphins last season and had high expectations coming into the 2018 NFL season. Unfortunately, that has not been the case. Parker struggled early in the season and then suffered a sprain to his AC join a couple of weeks back.

According to a report from Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald, Parker has a chance to play this week against the Indianapolis Colts.

Parker is currently the Dolphins' No. 1 wide receiver following Jarvis Landry's decision to leave town in the offseason. He had shown flashes of the star potential that Miami has seen in him prior to his injury.

Throughout the five games that Parker has played this season. He has caught 14 passes for 225 yards. He has yet to get into the end zone this season.

Last season with the Dolphins, Parker put together big numbers. He caught 57 passes for 670 yards and a touchdown. Part of the reason for the low touchdown numbers has been the play of Miami's quarterbacks.

At 25 years old, Parker is without question capable of becoming the player that many think he can be. He has plenty of time to get things going with the Dolphins. Hopefully, Parker can return from his injury soon and get back to the development that Miami needs him to have.

Expect to hear more news about Parker potentially returning to the field against the Colts in the next few days. Indianapolis is one of the hottest teams in the NFL and Miami will need Parker back on the field.
