In the last couple of seasons, Minnesota Viking Pro Bowl wide receiver Adam Thielen has developed into one of the best players in the league at his position.

This saw him truly take off as an offensive talent progressively over his first four-plus years with the Vikings. With the New Orleans Saints on tap for Week 8 action, Thielen pointed out that quarterback Teddy Bridgewater played a big part in his emergence over the past few years. according to Herbie Teope of NFL.com.

“His impact — really all of the years he was here — was huge,” Thielen said Thursday, via the Vikings' official website. “I know personally, I probably wouldn't be the receiver I am today without him.”

Bridgewater was the Vikings' starting quarterback in Thielen's first couple of seasons that saw him begin to etch out a role in the passing game. It didn't take until the 2016 campaign where he truly began to see his role greatly expand as he posted nearly 1,000 receiving yards. This saw him continued to gain the trust of Bridgewater in the passing game that developed into his garnering a bigger role that has pushed forward to him being a juggernaut at the position.

Thielen is well on his way for his best campaign as he has 67 catches for 822 receiving yards and five touchdowns that have him on pace to record a mind-boggling 153 catches for 1,879 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. He may titter off from this pace a bit over the second half of the season, but it speaks to the tremendous talent that he has as he notched seven straight games with 100 receiving yards and holds the franchise record for most catches for that stretch.

Although the two spent brief time together with the Vikings, it is clear that Bridgewater has played a notable part in helping Thielen get to where is at now in his career.
