In the last couple of weeks, Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook has been affected by a hamstring injury that has limited his action on the field.
Cook has since returned to action this past Thursday in the 38-31 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, but he has admitted that his hamstring isn't completely healed, according to Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press.
#Vikings RB Dalvin Cook on injured hamstring: "This thing is still healing up. I want to be 100 percent as bad as everybody else wants me to 100 percent. But I'm just not there yet. I just got to keep chipping away. But I'm going to be ready when the time comes, though.''

It doesn't appear that Cook is looking to take any more time away from the field this season while he continues to heal from the nagging hamstring injury. It is something that will likely keep him on a snap count for the next couple of weeks in order to avoid suffering a setback in the process.
Article Continues BelowHe had made just 10 carries for 20 rushing yards against the Rams that saw him not be in the game in the fourth quarter due to that being the case with his health situation. In three games played, he has 98 rushing yards on 36 attempts along with nine catches for 107 receiving yards.
There doesn't appear to be any pressure from the Vikings for Cook to be on the field as backup Latavius Murray has shown in the past that he can be a more than suitable temporary replacement in the starting lineup. However, the Florida State product is lasered in on working past these injury woes in order to stay on the field to help push his team forward as Minnesota holds a 1-2-1 record that has put them in third place in the division.
If the Vikings are looking to make a major push toward the playoffs, it will require Cook to be a major part of that offensive game plan. He has shown to be a versatile option out of the backfield that can greatly impact both the running and passing game. This is a situation that Minnesota will continue to monitor moving forward this season.
