The Minnesota Vikings have announced that Super Bowl-winning head coach Gary Kubiak will be joining the Vikings to address their obvious needs on the offensive side of the ball. Kubiak's son Kliny will be joining him in Minnesota as the Vikings' new quarterbacks coach. Klint Kubiak has been the Denver Broncos' quarterback coach since 2016 when the Broncos won the Super Bowl.
Vikings hiring former Broncos’ HC Gary Kubiak in an offensive advisory role, per a league source. Kubiak’s son, Klint, is expected to become Vikings’ QB coach and Kevin Stefanski will remain as Vikings’ OC.

As Schefter stated, Kevin Stefanski will remain as the team's offensive coordinator, but Kubiak will still likely have a lot of say in how the offense is run.
This is now a done deal: Gary Kubiak is joining the #Vikings staff. Exact title TBD, but to reiterate, Kevin Stefanski is the OC. Stefanski knows Gary and is very tight with Kubiak’s son, Klint, who’s expected to return as QBs coach. A great match for everyone. https://t.co/bbEsxxor57

The Kubiak's are both great offensive-minded individuals who will likely have a head start with the Vikings based on the talent-loaded offense. Quarterback Kirk Cousins has extremely high potential and has been gifted with two elite wide receivers: Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs. The Vikings have one of the league's most talented tight ends with Kyle Rudolph and a fantastic running back tandem with Dalvin Cook and Latavius Murray.
Minnesota's offensive struggles appeared to end once the Vikings fired former offensive coordinator John DeFilippo after an embarrassing loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 14. It was clear even after his departure that the Vikings' offense was light years away from its true potential.
Minnesota needs a full offensive makeover that will make Cousins comfortable because it was apparent the Vikings' gunslinger looked out of sorts for most of the season. The Vikings will need to work through Cousins and continue to use their talented running backs to their advantage.
