The New Orleans Saints have superstar Alvin Kamara at running back. However, they lost Mark Ingram and have clearly been trying to fill that hole this offseason. They signed Latavius Murray, but will still be looking for more help.

With that in mind, they've signed someone who could fight for a roster spot and playing time in Rob Kelley. I mean, he's done it before.

Rob Kelley spent the first three years of his career with the Washington Redskins, where he was affectionally nicknamed “Fat Rob.” Last season, he appeared in just two games, picking up eight yards on four carries. However, he had much bigger sample sizes in his first two seasons.

Most impressively was his rookie year back in 2016. On 168 carries, Kelley ripped off 704 yards and six touchdowns (4.2 yards per carry). He showed that he can pick up extra yards on runs, as he's extremely tough to bring down. However, he didn't always show the best vision.

That being said, Kelley would make a pretty solid change-of-pace running back. He has the potential to be deadly in the red zone and could end up racking up plenty of touchdowns if given the right opportunity.

Of course, Kelley isn't guaranteed a spot. He has to beat out names like Javorius Allen and Dwayne Washington to do so.

Even if he can do that, Kamara is the clear number one with Murray getting the heavy majority of any other carries. Therefore, Rob Kelley will probably be fighting for nothing more than the third running back spot on the Saints. Don't expect him to run any less hard though.
