New York Jets wide receiver Jamison Crowder left practice with an apparent left ankle injury on Monday, according to Rich Cimini of ESPN.
The Jets signed Crowder this offseason as part of a major free-agent haul that also included running back Le'Veon Bell and linebacker C.J. Mosley.
Crowder is expected to be an integral piece in New York's passing game this coming season, but the fact that he has already suffered an apparent ankle injury is a bit of a concern given the fact that he missed seven games with an ankle issue during his final year with the Washington Redskins this past season.
Of course, that was Crowder's right ankle, so the good news is that he did not re-injure the same ankle.
During the time he was on the field in 2018, Crowder logging 29 catches for 388 yards and a couple of touchdowns.

He played in all 16 games during his rookie year, catching 59 passes for 604 yards and a pair of scores. Then, the following season, Crowder once again appeared in all 16 contests, hauling in 67 receptions for 847 yards while reaching the end zone seven times.
Crowder would proceed to miss the first game of his NFL career in 2017 but still managed to participate in 15 games, finishing with 66 catches for 789 yards and three touchdowns.
It wasn't until the 2018 campaign where injuries started to truly become a problem for Crowder.
