The New York Jets came into this offseason looking to make a splash. They have done so with C.J. Mosley and Le'Veon Bell and were almost able to get a talented cornerback as well. Unfortunately, they came up just short.

As we've previously reported, the Giants had previously expressed an interest in Desir, who's currently a Colts free agent cornerback.

Both the Jets and the 49ers had expressed interest in snagging Desir, but they, too, have come up woefully short.

The rumor about the Jets expressing interest in Pierre Desir started with the New York Daily News, who has been keeping live tabs on the New York teams throughout this time.

Up until earlier today, Desir was still an unrestricted free agent who is looking to test the market.

Back in 2014, Desir was a fourth-round pick for the Browns. At the start of 2016, he was waived by the Browns, then claimed off of waivers by the Chargers. He then signed with the Seahawks in 2017, only to be waived a year later, when the Colts picked him up. He played college football at Lindenwood and Washburn, and was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

However, at the end of it all, Pierre Desir realized that no matter what how green the grass looked on the other football fields, there was no place like home. He re-signed a deal with the Colts. This deal with the Colts is worth $25 million, and has been extended for 3 years.
