New York Jets wide receiver Terrelle Pryor is not pleased with where his role on the offense is headed. The veteran is currently second on the team with 158 receiving yards this season. However, he has just one catch for 25 yards over the last two games as he's seen himself drop down the pecking order.

Pryor’s playing time was reduced significantly in last week’s loss to the Jaguars as he appeared in just two snaps. Unsurprisingly, he’s not exactly pleased with the downward trajectory of his involvement in the Jets offense.

“It’s kind of nerve-racking. I don’t like it,” Pryor told the New York Daily News about his lack of involvement in the offense. “It is what it is though. You get frustrated, you know? You don’t go out there and make plays.”

But despite his limited playing time, Pryor remains confident in his ability to be a big-play threat if and when his number gets called.

“I’ve shown when the ball comes to me, I make plays. I’m a big play waiting to happen. I’m ready to explode,” Pryor said. “So, whenever I get the chance and opportunity to get more than two targets or whatever, I’ll show you guys what I can do. Until then, there ain’t much I can do other than be a good teammate and be a good role model.”

It’s been a while since Pryor has proven to be that type of explosive playmaker, though. After his breakout campaign as a 1,000-yard receiver with the Browns in 2016, he suffered an injury-plagued season with the Redskins last year.

The Jets took a chance on Pryor rediscovering that form by giving him a one-year deal this offseason. But with other receivers in Quincy Enunwa, Robby Anderson, and Jermaine Kearse vying for playing time, Pryor may have to just be patient and wait for his chance to prove himself again.
