It has been a rough stretch for wide receiver Terrelle Pryor, to say the least. Fortunately, he still garnered plenty of interest this offseason before ultimately landing with the New York Jets.

The Jets have had deeper pockets than any other team this offseason. According to ESPN's Rich Cimini, they put it to good use by signing Pryor to a one-year, $4.5 million deal:

Breakdown of Terrelle Pryor's contract with Jets: One year, $4.5M. Guarantee: $2M (includes $1M signing bonus). Base: $3M ($1M fully gtd). Roster bonus of $31,250 per game on 46 (max: $500K). Cap: $4.28M

Pryor burst onto the scene during the 2016 NFL season after making the official switch from quarterback to wide receiver. As a result, he fielded plenty of offers going into the 2017 NFL season and eventually wound up signing with the Washington Redskins.

Needless to say, things did not work out in Washington as Pryor was virtually non-existent in the offense throughout the year. He registered just 20 receptions for 240 yards and a touchdown in nine games with the team. Despite his down year, Pryor still had a number of suitors still interested in his services this offseason.

That said, it seems the disastrous year in Washington was not enough to keep him on the market for long. His potential as a playmaker on the outside has grabbed the attention of teams around the league. However, it was the Jets that were ultimately able to haul him.

Pryor's one-year deal suggests once again that New York may be looking to see whether or not his breakout 2016 campaign was a fluke.
