New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson nearly had an iconic moment that would have been the talk of the town for at least the next several years during Sunday night's matchup versus the Las Vegas Raiders. Wilson was seemingly just inches away from pulling off a game-winning Hail Mary touchdown pass as time expired in regulation, but the ball just did not find the intended target — Garrett Wilson.
A closer look at the play appears to reveal that Jets tight end Tyler Conklin inadvertently knocked the ball down and away from Wilson during a mad scene in the end zone.

There was a good chance that Garrett Wilson would have secured possession of that ball if not for Conklin getting in the picture, though, the latter can't be faulted either for trying to catch Zach Wilson's Hail Mary attempt.

Garrett Wilson paced New York in the contest with 93 receiving yards on nine catches and 14 targets, while Conklin was actually perfect in the contest, with seven receptions on seven targets for 70 receiving yards.
After winning three games in a row, the Jets are now on a two-game losing skid and are below .500 with a 4-5 record. It's not about to get any easier for them, with a rematch versus the Buffalo Bills waiting for them in Week 11 in Orchard Park.
For what it's worth, the Jets have now failed to record a touchdown in 36 consecutive drives.
