The New York Jets traded up in the 2021 NFL Draft with the Minnesota Vikings.

After a whirlwind of picks and trades, the Jets have moved up to select Alijah Vera-Tucker from USC.

The Jets took Zach Wilson from BYU at No. 2 overall and have now gotten a stud offensive line prospect to protect their new franchise quarterback.

The Los Angeles Chargers took Rashawn Slater, and the Jets had no choice but to trade up for AVT. The Jets are looking to quickly rebuild this team that has struggled for the last dozen years.

Robert Saleh has taken over the reins of the team and now the Jets have serious talent to build around with Wilson and AVT leading the offense. After Justin Fields and Mac Jones fell, and Slater went No. 13, the Jets took no chances and got one of the best offensive line prospects in recent years.

The Big Apple will be buzzing after the first 15 picks of the 2021 NFL Draft. New York will continue to make moves as they look to get back on top and compete in the AFC East. For what it's worth, the AFC East might be one of the better divisions in football with the New England Patriots, Buffalo Bills, and Miami Dolphins all making improvements.
