The buzz around BYU quarterback and top NFL draft prospect Zach Wilson is building after a sensational showing during his Pro Day.
One scout told Dane Brugler of The Athletic the “Draft starts at 3” after seeing Wilson showcase his talent.
Text from an NFL scout who was at the BYU pro day:
"Draft starts at 3. Wilson going 2."

Wilson did indeed display some absurd arm talent on Friday. Check out this deep ball thrown across his body and on the run.

That is… pretty ridiculous.
Wilson had already been regarded as the potential No. 2 prospect in the draft behind Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who is all but assuredly going No. 1 overall to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Did Wilson's Pro Day just cinch the New York Jets taking him with the second pick?
Article Continues BelowThe Jets have yet to really make a definitive statement regarding the future of Sam Darnold, who has garnered some trade interest this offseason. New York suggested it would evaluate all quarterbacks prior to making a decision on Darnold. However, general manager Joe Douglas might be too tempted to bet on Wilson's talent and take him at No. 2.
There have been some subtle signs suggesting the Jets could be angling for Wilson. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported the Philadelphia Eagles had a notion to trade up to No. 3, but only if Wilson were available. Rapoport later clarified the tweet as the Eagles deciding they were better off trading back, but perhaps it is a sign of things to come.
One thing is very clear: Zach Wilson will go high in this draft. At No. 2? Very possible. And hard to see anyone having enough ammo to move up. https://t.co/U7gAKiJBhj

It is stacking up to be a wild draft after all the craziness that occurred Friday. Four quarterbacks could very well go in the first four picks after the San Francisco 49ers traded up to No. 3.
Scouts feel Wilson will be off the board by then after seeing him throw.
