For a wide variety of reasons — some of them deserved — Tom Brady of the New England Patriots gets a lot of crap.
But one thing that cannot be denied is that the man can play football, and he can play quite well.
Colin Cowherd — he of “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” radio show, which is broadcast on Fox Sports — suggests that no other quarterback in the AFC has the same record as Brady, and none even come close.
This, then, leads Cowherd to believe that the New England Patriots are a prime contender in the AFC playoffs.

The Patriots, who are set to face off against the Los Angeles Chargers at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts on Saturday are not favored in Vegas odds to go to the Super Bowl, let alone advance further in the playoffs.
Article Continues BelowAccording to BetOnline.ag, the New Orleans Saints are the current Super Bowl favorites, and the betting outlet suggests that the Saints are favored at 5/2. Right behind the Saints are the Kansas City Chiefs, who are favored at 4/1 odds.
That said, though, Brady and the Patriots are favored to win at 6/1 odds, placing them right in the middle of the road for the betting types.
Those, however, that have money to burn would be best served to put their money on the Dallas Cowboys (12/1) or the Indianapolis Colts (10/1) — both of whom have less-than-stellar odds to win the big prize.
Brady and the Patriots are, however, highly favored to win the AFC Championship, as the outlet places their odds at 9/4.
