It's been a bonkers offseason for the Philadelphia Eagles as the front office has made massive moves to improve the roster. This franchise has a real shot at making another playoff appearance, especially with how well the young players are developing. We'll see how it plays out, as we go over some of our way too early predictions for the Eagles' 2022 NFL season.

Although Philadelphia acquired AJ Brown via trade, the offense should not shy away from the run game. In the second half of the season, the Eagles were one of the most dominant rushing teams in the league. They'll need to rely on that aspect of the game again, as it provides the offense with a well-balanced attack.

Additionally, all eyes are on Jalen Hurts as the franchise and fanbase hope he takes the next step in development. If he does, then the Eagles could be one of the best teams in the league. If not, then Philadelphia will have a tough decision to make next offseason. However, he's been a solid prospect quarterback so far and can surely improve his level of play. If he can do that, then this organization should clinch the NFC East.

Eagles Way Too Early Predictions For The 2022 NFL Season

3. Philadelphia leads the league in total rushing yards

Everyone will be focused on the passing game after the Eagles traded for AJ Brown, and for good reason. The offense is stacked with a ton of talent behind Brown, as Dallas Goedert, DeVonta Smith, and Quez Watkins are all prime pass options as well. However, Philadelphia found success in the run game last year and the team would be wise to lean on it again in the 2022 NFL season.

Miles Sanders has been a solid running back so far, even though he isn't viewed as a star in the league right now. Additionally, Jalen Hurts is more than capable of running the ball, as he is a true threat with his lets. On top of that, Kenneth Gainwell is set to be the backup who flashed potential during his rookie year. Between these three and the stout offensive line, the Eagles can control the clock with a steady rushing attack all season long.

2. Jalen Hurts reaches star-status

As of now, Jalen Hurts is a prospect who needs to prove he's capable of being a franchise quarterback. There is no question he has the athleticism to help the Eagles win games, however, the question mainly revolves around his arm talent. With how stacked the offense is around him, Hurts has everything he needs to succeed.

Now is the time for the young quarterback to take advantage and become the superstar Eagles fans believe he can be. Philadelphia has created a legitimate offense to compete and Jalen Hurts is in the driver's seat. Expectations are high for him, as Philadelphia aims to reclaim the NFC East and make a deep run in the playoffs.

1. Eagles win the NFC East

The Eagles have everything they need to usurp the Dallas Cowboys. They have the weapons on offense to light up the scoreboard while the defense is one of the best on paper. Philadelphia has a real chance to be the dark horse pick for the NFC in general, as the franchise has a loaded roster for the 2022 season.

Between their balanced attack on offense and an improved defense led by Darius Slay, the Eagles should be able to at least be in the running to win the NFC East. It'll be a tough road, as the Cowboys have a decent roster as well. However, Philadelphia has a real chance to surprise the entire league this year. Keep an eye on Jalen Hurts and the gang, as this organization looks to shake things up in their division.
