The Pittsburgh Steelers put together an impressive victory over the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football. One of the newest faces for Pittsburgh had a stellar performance. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers excelled at levels he hasn't seen in more than a decade, while leading Pittsburgh to a 28-15 victory.

“Rodgers, who posted his highest completion percentage since 2014, connected with eight different receivers as the Steelers scored touchdowns on four consecutive drives for the first time since Week 2 of the 2018 season. He completed 23 of 27 passes (85.2%) for 224 yards,” Brooke Pryor wrote for ESPN.

The Dolphins game was one of Rodgers' best performances of the season. Pittsburgh's veteran quarterback now has 2,594 passing yards on the year, with a completion percentage of close to 67 percent.

Pittsburgh has won back-to-back games, to improve to 8-6 on the season. The Steelers are first in the AFC North, and in control of their own destiny for the AFC Playoffs.

Since then, Pittsburgh has looked gritty in wins over the Baltimore Ravens and now the Dolphins. Steelers linebacker Patrick Queen is pleased with what he is seeing from his team.

“It's big, especially right now,” Queen said to the outlet. “Just part of the season that's when you create momentum. … I think we went through all the stuff that we went through to prepare us to go into what we got. It's going to be three extremely tough games, but we got the guys to do it.”

Steelers fans have been frustrated with the the team this season, and especially with head coach Mike Tomlin. Tomlin has yet to have a losing season with the franchise, after nearly 20 years there as the head coach. Pittsburgh though hasn't won a playoff game in years, and fans want more.

Time will tell if this year things turn out a bit different for Pittsburgh. The Steelers next play the Detroit Lions on Sunday.
