Pittsburgh Steelers star running back Le'Veon Bell has continued to remain away from the team despite the regular season now being underway.
It has drawn plenty of scrutiny and attention about how Bell is handling the situation with his best interest in mind to get past this murky matter with the Steelers. There could be more criticism tossed the 26-year-old's way as he was seen at a club in Miami during the team's season opener against the Cleveland Browns, according to TMZ Sports.
This makes it quite clear that Bell isn't going to return to the mix for any simple reason as he has made his mind up on his stance with his contract. The lack of a new deal in place has pushed him to hold from the team until likely he has to show up to get credit for the entire 2018 NFL season.
Several teammates have come out to voice their dismay with everything with much of that on the Bell hasn't returned to the team with regular season underway. The Steelers are counting on Bell to be a major part of the puzzle offensive as their key factor in the backfield. He has proven to be an elite talent as both a runner and receiver that has helped take their offense to the next level. Backup James Conner has stepped up in his absence with a strong outing in the season opener rushing for 131 yards with a pair of touchdowns along with five catches for 57 receiving yards.
The longer the situation continues to linger on the more scrutiny that it will receive while the Steelers will have to answer questions concerning Bell's future with the franchise. At this point, a resolution doesn't appear like it will be met any time soon between both sides.
