After leading his team on a dramatic game-winning drive, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was praised by one of his ex-New York Jets teammates, Breece Hall, as the four-time NFL MVP led his team to the playoffs.
As the game between the Steelers and Ravens came to an end in dramatic fashion, Hall took to X, formerly Twitter, to praise his former quarterback, saying, “Ole #8 still got it lol… [face with peeking eye emoji].”
In a game that decided both teams' playoff fates, Rodgers led the Steelers down the field against the Ravens, scoring a go-ahead touchdown with under a minute to go. However, Chris Boswell missed the extra point, keeping it a two-point game.
Lamar Jackson then led the Ravens' offense on an improbable drive, setting up a game-winning 44-yard field goal attempt by Tyler Loop with two seconds left, which he missed. This was set up by a 4th & 7 conversion two plays earlier on a big catch from Isiah Likely.
Rodgers was efficient throughout. He threw for 294 yards and one touchdown in the game. The go-ahead touchdown pass was thrown to Calvin Austin III.
Aaron Rodgers returns to the playoffs for the first time in 4 years with the Steelers

For the first time since the 2021 NFL season, Rodgers will compete in a playoff game. His drought began the following year, his last in Green Bay with the Packers, before he spent two unsuccessful seasons with the Jets.
The first was cut short by an Achilles injury, which he suffered a few snaps into the season. Rodgers would return the following year, but the Jets went 5-12 with him.
In his first season with the Steelers, the team finished 10-7, winning the AFC North. Rodgers finished the season with 3,322 passing yards, 24 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. He also rushed for a touchdown.
They will next face the Houston Texans on Monday, Jan. 12, in the Wild Card Round. The Texans are riding high off a nine-game win streak going into the playoffs.
