Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt expressed his confidence in the team's defensive rotation as they aim to impose their will against the struggling Dallas Cowboys in Week 9 action, via ESPN‘s Ed Werder. This won't bode well especially for quarterback Garrett Gilbert who will be making his first career start against a top 5 defense.
Talked to #Steelers TJ Watt about #Cowboys having QB make first career start vs. defense that has blitzed most. “We could send anybody on any down…I don’t know how they can prepare a young quarterback for all the different looks when we have a multitude of different blitzes.”

The Steelers defense has been haunting opposing offensive players all throughout their 2020 campaign. It has produced optimal results thus far, allowing a mere 18.8 points per game (T-3rd in the league) while allowing 285.2 yards per game, second only to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 282 average, as per Sports Illustrated.
Watt together with fellow outside linebacker Bud Dupree have continued their impressive production from 2019, currently combining for 12.5 sacks into the season.
On the other hand, the Cowboys' quarterback woes continue after QB1 Dak Prescott's season-ending injury. Backup playmaker Andy Dalton remains to be observed on the concussion protocol after being dealt with a gruesome hit to the helmet in their Week 7 tilt against the Washington Football Team.
The squad turned to rookie gunslinger Ben DiNucci who had a forgettable game when he started under center for head coach Mike McCarthy in Week 8. He recorded 180 passing yards on 21/40 passes completed and was sacked four times by the Philadelphia Eagles en route to a 23-9 loss.
With a formidable Steelers defense headlined by T.J. Watt, expect the debuting Gilbert to have a long day of attempting to make plays under center. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin will aim for a win at the expense of the Cowboys to snag an 8-0 start for the first time in franchise history.
