Replacing Devlin Hodges in the second quarter, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph tied his team's game with the New York Jets on a 29-yard touchdown pass to Diontae Johnson at the end of the first half (via NFL).

After losing his man in New York cornerback Bless Austin, Johnson was streaking towards the end zone, where the 24-year-old Rudolph placed a perfect dart for the over-the-shoulder catch and score by his wideout. The touchdown reception came moments after a pass interference call on the Jets gave the Steelers a first down in scoring territory and a handful of plays earlier saw edge rusher TJ Watt explode for a strip sack, forcing a fumble by Jets quarterback Sam Darnold and recovering possession.

The sequence was crucial for the Steelers to keep hope alive in reaching the playoffs, as the second Wild Card spot is up for grabs between them and the Tennessee Titans. Pittsburgh was down 10-0 in the first half in the Meadowland before scoring 10 points of their own, tying the Jets at halftime—and the Steelers get the ball back to start the third quarter, too.

It was the first-year receiver Johnson's, a third-round pick out of Toledo, fifth touchdown catch of the year.
