Yes, that's right. The fullback position still exists in the National Football League. Unlike the dinosaurs, fullbacks, though teetering on the brink, thanks to offensive rules that make the Arena League blush, have yet to find themselves extinct.

One of these guys is Jamize Olawale who finds himself in need of moving plans as according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the fullback is on his way to the Dallas Cowboys along with a sixth-round pick.

In exchange, the Oakland Raiders receive a fifth-round selection.

The deal basically has the two teams swapping late-round picks with Olawale packing up and moving from the Bay Area to Big D. And yes, this is a “fullback alert” as these guys never seen to stick with one franchise for an entire career during these high-flying times of passing in the NFL.

Olawale, 28, is a six-year veteran of the league who's only known one team, the Raiders. Twenty-fifteen represented his best statistical season as he took advantage of 24 carries by going for 100 yards and a score on the ground. He also caught nine for 84 yards.

Olawale is a versatile fullback who can run block and catch a few balls out of the backfield on bootlegs and play actions in the flat. He should fit in wonderfully with the rushing-heavy Cowboys offense.
