The San Francisco 49ers went to Arlington and ended the Dallas Cowboys' season Sunday night with a massive 23-17 win. It was domination from start to finish for the Niners, who got a big boost from wide receiver (and part-time running back) Deebo Samuel, who scored one of the two rushing scores in the game for San Francisco.

That was the biggest moment of the game for Samuel, and it came after the 49ers' defense came up huge with an interception off Dak Prescott in the third quarter. In just one play, Samuel took off for a 26-yard rushing touchdown to put San Francisco up, 23-7, following Robbie Gould's extra-point conversion.

And Samuel didn't just work for that touchdown on the field. He also seemed to have convinced head coach Kyle Shanahan to get him the ball before rewarding Shanahan's trust in him with a touchdown.

“Deebo's been a stud all year, as everyone knows, and, right before he went out there, he just mouthed something to me, which I kind of guessed was, ‘Give me the ball,'” coach Kyle Shanahan said after the game. “When I look at him talking that way, it's extremely motivating, and he makes it a lot easier to call plays.”

Samuel has been nothing but phenomenal for the 49ers this season. His ability to wreak havoc downfield and out of the backfield has given San Francisco's offense a dynamic and versatile weapon. The 49ers will need more from him, as they progress deeper into the the playoffs.
