Emmanuel Sanders had a heck of a run with the Denver Broncos, making a couple of Pro Bowl appearances and winning a Super Bowl, but with the Broncos rebuilding, it was obvious that the wide receiver's time in the Mile High City was up.

Denver traded Sanders to the San Francisco 49ers last week, and the veteran made his debut with the 49ers on Sunday, logging four catches for 25 yards and a touchdown in a blowout win over the Carolina Panthers.

Afterward, Sanders stated how thrilled he is to be in the Bay.

“All week the energy has been so positive here,” Sanders said, according to Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area. “This locker room is just amazing. Great group of players, great personalities around here. I showed up today expecting the same, in terms of personality. I never forget going out of the tunnel with these guys, everybody laughing and smiling. I was like, this is football, this is fun. I’m blessed to be here.”

As for his touchdown? Sanders said it was a great way to get a new chapter started.

“It was probably one of the easiest touchdowns I’ve had, but it was awesome to get one on the opening drive,” Sanders said. “To be a newcomer on this team and to open up like that is awesome.”

On the season overall, the 31-year-old has totaled 34 receptions for 392 yards and three scores and has not missed a game, a truly incredible feat considering that Sanders just tore his Achilles last December.

San Francisco is now an NFC-best 7-0 this year and will battle the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday.
