Many analysts believe Nick Bosa was the best prospect in the 2019 NFL Draft. Playing with star pass-rushers like DeForest Buckner and Dee Ford on the San Francisco 49ers' defensive line, he should have ample opportunity to prove it as a rookie, too.

ESPN projects Bosa to finish his debut campaign with 46 tackles, seven sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and two passes defensed. While those would be solid numbers for any first-year defensive lineman, some 49ers fans might be disappointed if the No. 2 overall pick of the draft fails to make even more of an impact next season. After all, with proven impact players like Buckner and Ford playing next to him, it's not like the opposition will be able to dedicate extra attention to keeping Bosa in check.

Bosa played just three games last season after having surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle suffered in Ohio State’s 40-28 win over TCU on September 15th. He had five and-a-half sacks and seven tackles for loss in that limited action, though, doing enough in his final collegiate season to remain a top-tier prospect. The younger brother of Los Angeles Chargers star defensive end Joey, Bosa burst onto the scene for the Buckeyes as a true freshman in 2016, notching five sacks in limited playing time. He cemented himself as an elite NFL prospect one season later, with eight and-a-half sacks and 16 tackles for loss during his sophomore season.

Bosa has already made his fair share of NFL headlines due to his vocal support of President Donald Trump. He's since pledged to keep his controversial political and social opinions to himself.
