George Kittle has full confidence in his team. The San Francisco 49ers tight end believes that when you get to the bottom of it, it's the Niners who are the superior squad in the entire NFC West — better than the Seattle Seahawks, the Arizona Cardinals, and the Los Angeles Rams. That's saying a lot, but Kittle definitely has a case.

In a recent appearance on ESPN's Keyshawn, JWill & Max show, Kittle gave two reasons why the rest of the division needs to recognize the 49ers as the best of the bunch (h/t David Bonilla of 49ers Webzone).

“But at the end of the day, they've got to go against our defense in Nick Bosa and Arik Armstead and Fred Warner. We have a lot of guys who can make a lot of plays, and I think our offense is going to continue to keep rolling.

“The one thing that we do better than I think anyone else in our division is run the damn ball. That's what we're going to continue to do and be violent, be physical every single week.”

The 49ers opened the 2021 NFL season with a 41-33 road win over the Detroit Lions. The score, however, does not reflect how dominant the 49ers were for the most part of the contest. It was only when they took their foot off the gas a bit in the fourth when Detroit managed to rack up points.

At full strength, the 49ers indeed have a terrifying stop unit and a deep and talented backfield. They are going to need both to keep performing at a high level if they are to win the division.
