The San Francisco 49ers are heavy favorites to reach the Super Bowl, as they have one of the best overall games in the NFL. However, Jimmy Garoppolo is not resting on his laurels and is instead working hard to secure his team's win against the Minnesota Vikings in the divisional rounds.

Garoppolo talked about how the atmosphere immediately changes once playoff football begins in earnest. He shared his observation of how everyone involved with an NFL football team changes as they seriously vie for a Super Bowl title.

He harked back to the time he was a backup to Tom Brady for the New England Patriots as a reference to how the Niners should approach their games.

“I’ve seen the atmosphere in the building ramp up, the atmosphere of the coaches and players and everyone,” Jimmy Garoppolo said Tuesday about the lessons he learned during his time with the Patriots. “Just a lot more energy in the building for sure.”

Jimmy GQ understands how a football team wins Super Bowls. He won two of his rings with the Patriots, and his leadership should be doing wonders for a team that hasn't participated in the playoffs since 2014.

Moreover, he's shown that he can play with the best of them. In the Niners' final regular-season tilt against the Seattle Seahawks, Jimmy Garoppolo played really well. He finished with 282 yards with a high 82% completion rate. While he wasn't able to get a passing touchdown, his influence in the pocket more than made up for it.

His leadership and accurate passes will be needed when they face the Vikings on Saturday. Fans will be hoping that their team will be able to pull through with a solid win.
