The San Francisco 49ers were seriously affected when Jimmy Garoppolo tore his ACL, and he's focused on bouncing back to produce next season. The 49ers lost their top running back Jerrick McKinnon to an ACL tear before the season started. They also struggled with injuries to their receiving corps early on in the season. Moving forward, Garoppolo will have plenty of time to get his legs back under him for a successful 2019 campaign.

“I've always been pretty cautious, so that was kind of the freak accident of the play,” Garoppolo told ABC News. “I don't know if it was just instinct or what, to cut back like that. But it is what it is. Your style of play, I think, will alter initially. But eventually, everyone keeps telling me you'll get back to how your legs were before, just as strong if not stronger. It's all about putting in the work right now — coming back stronger than I was before, mentally being better and just overall being better.”

C.J. Beathard has taken over for Jimmy Garoppolo, and the 49ers have been consistently said they won't pursue a veteran to fill in this season. Beathard has played well in a few games, but San Francisco still haven't gotten a win with him under center. They simply have too many issues that need to be addressed.

The 49ers have the Arizona Cardinals scheduled for Week 8, which will give them ample opportunity to get a win against another 1-6 team.
