Amid the ongoing trade saga between the San Francisco 49ers and Deebo Samuel, Odell Beckham Jr. made headlines on Day 2 of the NFL Draft on Friday. He noted on Twitter that he indeed has the inside information on Samuel’s situation with the 49ers.
Now, Beckham has claimed that Samuel has found a new home in the NFL.
Beckham once again took to Twitter to supposedly break the news that the 49ers wideout has been traded to the New England Patriots.

However, this is reportedly not the case after all. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero downplayed Beckham’s breaking news tweet mere minutes later.
This … is not true. Carry on. https://t.co/dCtgDJ12Y4

On Samuel's part, he also apparently debunked the claim that he is off to the Patriots.

Samuel noted to ESPN last week that he had requested a trade from the 49ers. He shied away from providing the pinpoint reason as to why he aspires to leave San Francisco after three seasons but simply revealed that he has made it clear to team officials that he would like to be traded.
The 49ers received offers for Samuel from multiple teams over the past few days. The New York Jets reportedly put on the table the No. 10 overall pick in this year's draft coupled with a fifth-round pick for the wideout, but 49ers team officials had no interest in coming to terms on such a deal.
For now, the saga between the two sides will carry on, as it remains to be seen whether Samuel will keep his stern stance about wanting to soon leave the 49ers.
