The San Francisco 49ers are absolutely rolling as a result of this year's installment of the NFC Championship Game. With the 49ers currently leading the heralded Green Bay Packers by the score of 27-7 with the latter just getting on the board for the first time early on in the second half, San Francisco has been led by its rushing attack spearheaded by running back Raheem Mostert.
With fellow 49ers running back Tevin Coleman going down early with a seemingly significant shoulder injury, it has been all Mostert ever since. Scoring a huge touchdown for the 49ers right before the end of the first half, Mostert paid homage to his past as part of his celebration as the 49ers running back notably turned down surfing contract when he was just 14 years old.
Talk about an all-around athlete…
Raheem Mostert turned down a professional surfing contract at 14 years old to instead pursue a career in football.

If Mostert and the 49ers can keep the Packers off the board going forward, the surging NFC West franchise will be heading to Miami to take on the AFC Champion Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIV. Earlier in the day on Sunday afternoon, the Chiefs notably defeated the pesky Tennessee Titans en route to officially punching the team's ticket to this year's Super Bowl.
With the 49ers continuing to put the pressure on the Packers, Raheem Mostert is surely in line to receive a heavy workload as the second half draws closer to an end. If the 49ers keep a large lead, Mostert will need to help San Francisco successfully run the clock out while also keeping future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the rest of the Green Bay offense off the field.
