The final moments of a game, where a field goal can make or break a team's chance of a victory, is what sets a great kicker above the rest. And it's in the waning seconds of this Monday Night Football game against the Seattle Seahawks that San Francisco 49ers rookie Chase McLaughlin completed what could be considered the biggest field goal of his life.

There were only six seconds left on the clock, and the Levi's Stadium crowd all trained their eyes on the rookie kicker out of Illinois. Everyone held their breaths when the ball was set into kick position, then, everyone (upset for Seahawks fans) rejoiced when they saw the perfect trajectory the football was taking.

The ball went right between the uprights. There was no way the game-tying FG would be taken from McLaughlin, and his teammates immediately rushed him and praised him in excitement.

In a season where a lot of kickers have buckled to the pressure, Chase McLaughlin is a superb tangent from the trend. Thanks to him, there's more football to be played.
