Colin Kaepernick has continued to find himself on the outside looking in toward getting his NFL career back on track. However, he has received little interest from around the league over the last year about possibly bringing him.

One of the teams has been recently linked to Kaepernick was the Seattle Seahawks with the potential to be a backup to Pro Bowler Russell Wilson. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Seahawks a scheduled workout with him but decided to postpone it after he decided to decline not kneeling during the national anthem.

After arranging for Colin Kaepernick to work out for the Seattle Seahawks this week, team officials postponed the trip when the quarterback declined to stop kneeling during the national anthem next season, a league source told ESPN on Thursday.

What this is shows is that there is still clearly concern about his stance of kneeling during the national anthem. Although teams have not come out to state that, these actions by the Seahawks deciding to hold off on even working out Kaepernick shows that that NFL teams are still leery of the entire situation.

In essence, organizations still see it as a possible distraction away from the team, especially from a player that will likely be a backup. The constant questions and additional media attention toward have caused teams like the Seahawks to stray away from bringing that aboard.

It also shoos away the argument that this solely based on his performance on the field as there have been numerous situations he could have stepped into to help a team last season and could have already latched onto a roster this offseason as a backup. There is certainly more to this than what type of player he is on the field. There should be much more to come on this front that will undoubtedly have a significant impact on Kaepernick's future in the NFL.
