With how Kirk Cousins has played during his career, it is not surprising to hear that several teams are interested in him. It may be a little surprising to hear that a team with a plethora of quarterbacks on its roster, like the Minnesota Vikings, is interested. But according to the rumor mill, that is indeed the case.

NFL.com analyst Gil Brandt thinks that Cousins could indeed be heading to Minnesota. Why? Well—the Vikings seem to be interested as is he.

Cousins' interest makes sense. He was at his best in Washington when he had talented, dependable veteran receivers to work with. The Vikings have to pretty good, battle-tested guys in Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen. With a healthy Dalvin Cook in the backfield and one of the better offensive lines in the NFL, any quarterback in his right mind would want to come to Minnesota.

However, the Vikings have at least one other quarterback to worry about. Sam Bradford shouldn’t be a concern. With his injury history and age, he is not going to be the guy anyone builds around. But Teddy Bridgewater can still be that guy as could Case Keenum.

However, they don’t know for certain if Bridgewater can play. He was expected to turn the corner in 2016 before he injured his knee. Do they want to take the chance he'll do so now? If he pans out, he’s only 25 and could be the man for whoever he plays for at least another decade. Keenum is 30. He could have anywhere from five to ten years left, max.

But neither has the track record that Cousins has. The Vikings best chance to win now may be to bring in someone like Cousins rather than hope Keenum can do it again or Bridgewater can still play.

It is not going to be an easy decision to make for the Vikings front office. But that’s what they get paid the big bucks for, right?
