The Denver Nuggets are one of the hottest teams in the league right now after securing their fourth straight win on Wednesday night. Even with the loss of Jamal Murray, the Nuggets are still finding ways to win.

Recently the Nuggets brought in Austin Rivers to play point guard as a way to fill in for Murray for the rest of the year. He made his debut appearance for Denver during Wednesday night's game against the Portland Trail Blazers, where he finished with five points and three rebounds.

During the post-game interview, Rivers was asked about learning and adjusting to the Nuggets' playbook. He provided a short answer that summed it up perfectly, per Mike Singer.

Nikola Jokic is easily one of the best centers in the league. The guy can do it all: shoot, rebound, play low, hit threes, and find the open teammate. His abilities make him a one-of-a-kind athlete that Denver utilizes to the fullest.

Rivers is catching onto Denver's playbook rather quickly. He proved that in his debut game. When it doubt, give the ball to Jokic. A strategy that has been working for the Nuggets all year. For the Nuggets' new point guard, he seems to be in a good spot to get his career back on track. After a rocky start to the season with the New York Knicks, Rivers believes he's in a position to succeed in Denver.

The Denver Nuggets are currently in fourth place in the Western Conference and aim to close the gap on the Los Angeles Clippers before the end of the season. They'll have a chance to do just that on Friday night, as the Nuggets take on the Golden State Warriors in a favorable matchup as they will try to make it five straight wins entering the stretch run of the regular season.
