Although it may have taken longer than expected, center Bol Bol was finally able to join his new team in the Denver Nuggets. It appears he is already looking forward to getting to work with center Nikola Jokic.

Bol was undoubtedly one of the more intriguing prospects in the 2019 NBA Draft. According to Alex Kennedy of HoopsHype, he is excited to be in Denver to further learn from Jokic:

“I think it's good for me because I'll be around very great players and a good staff. I think that will help develop me. That will better me… I think they're a very great team, and I'm very excited.”

Bol's excitement is certainly understandable. He had been among the notable players invited to attend the draft in person. Unfortunately, he found himself waiting for his name to be called much longer than he initially planned. He was finally selected with the Mimia Heat's 44th overall pick that was subsequently traded to Denver. It is safe to say that the rookie is now entering the league with a bit of a chip on his shoulder.

While Bol would have liked to be picked much earlier, he finds himself in a rather solid situation in Denver. They have managed to put together a deep roster chock-full of promising, young talent in recent years. Of course, the most notable among them being Jokic. Like Bol, he had dropped to the second round in his draft before emerging into one of the NBA's premier big men. Bol will now be able to get a firsthand look at what it takes to become an All-Star and All-NBA Team member.
