The Denver Nuggets didn't do much at this season's NBA trade deadline. They made one minor trade in January that got them Bryn Forbes (and tried to do another, but the deal got voided) and didn't make any trades right before the deadline. They did make one roster move, though.

According to the Denver Post's Mike Singer, the Nuggets are signing DeMarcus Cousins to another 10-day contract.

Cousins signed a 10-day with Denver in January as the Nuggets' center rotation behind Nikola Jokic seemed uncertain. In five games with Denver, Cousins is averaging 13.2 minutes per game and posting 6.0 points and 7.0 rebounds. Before joining Denver, Cousins played 17 games for the Milwaukee Bucks.

Denver may not regret keeping Cousins for the time being but they might wish they were more active at the deadline. With Nikola Jokic enjoying another MVP-caliber season, the Nuggets are in sixth place in the Western Conference. Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. are still sidelined, leaving the roster around Jokic thin as they look to make a playoff run.

Cousins, at this stage of his career, is not equipped to carry a heavy workload. Although he is just 31 years old, injuries have taken a toll on him. Providing minutes off the bench is the only way he can be useful. Even then, his shooting numbers have been weak. He may be able to help the Nuggets through the regular season but they should not expect much from him after that.
