The Boston Celtics, San Antonio Spurs and Denver Nuggets agreed to a four-player NBA trade involving Bryn Forbes, Juancho Hernangomez, Bol Bol and PJ Dozier.

As reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Boston is sending Hernangomez to San Antonio, who then gives Forbes to Denver. As for the Nuggets, they are giving up Bol Bol and PJ Dozier to the Celtics.

The Nuggets have been interested in Bryn Forbes, who was recently put on the NBA trading block by the Spurs. There were reportedly multiple teams eyeing the playmaker, but given Denver's need for a guard amid the absence of Jamal Murray, it's not surprising why they didn't hesitate in pursuing him and rather quickly.

As for San Antonio, Gregg Popovich's roster is loaded at the backcourt and needed to clear the way for rookie Josh Primo's development. It remains to be seen what they plan to do with Juancho Hernangomez given they also have a plethora of forwards at their disposal.

Meanwhile, the Celtics are getting possible bargaining chips in Dozier and Bol Bol. Dozier is out for the season with an ACL tear, while Bol is expected to be sidelined for the next three months after undergoing foot surgery.

The young big man was recently traded to the Detroit Pistons, but the deal was voided because of his injury. Clearly, if the Celtics decide to keep him, they are viewing him as a long-term project.
