Isaiah Thomas' NBA journey has been anything but a smooth ride. The Denver Nugget was the last pick in the 2011 draft. Since then he's spent time with five different teams and the Nuggets make six. Thomas understands the business side of the league as well as any player. But that doesn't mean the constant bouncing around has been easy on Thomas or his family.

“For my wife and my family, it’s definitely been difficult,” Isaiah Thomas said to Mike Singer of the Denver Post. “At the end of the day, I’m human. I’ve been three places in less than one year, so it’s like, I’m tired of moving.”

That's understandable for anyone in any profession. Job security is something that we all crave and Thomas has had very little security in the last year. Of course, he's making millions of dollars to play a professional sport so he knows that it comes with the territory. But it doesn't make it any easier on Thomas or his family.

Thomas is currently on a one-year deal with the Nuggets and he's hoping that he can come back healthy and play his way into a long-term deal somewhere. Perhaps he can make his home in Denver full-time if the fit is there this season.

Throughout his career, Isaiah Thomas has been proving doubters wrong. There's no reason to believe he won't do the same exact thing this time around. He's playing for an opportunity to gain some stability for him and his family.
