Denver Nuggets star point guard Jamal Murray is dealing with a right knee contusion in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Jamal Murray has been a superstar for the Nuggets in the 2020 playoffs. Unfortunately, knee contusions are tough to play on, especially for an explosive player like Murray.

When the Nuggets gave Murray a five-year, $195.65 million extension in the summer of 2019, many pundits questioned the move. However, after Murray's stellar play at Walt Disney World down in Orlando, Florida, no one in the NBA is ever going to question whether the Nuggets floor general is a max player.

The Nuggets have a really bright future with Murray and All-Star center Nikola Jokic leading the way. Both guys are only going to get better over time, too.
