Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray entered into some rare company on Sunday night after recording his second straight 30-point game against the Portland Trail Blazers. According to NBA Stats, the last Denver player to score 30-plus points in back-to-back contests was Carmelo Anthony.

Murray had 34 points in Games 3 and 4 at the Moda Center, though he was far more efficient in Game 4. It took the Kentucky product 32 shots to reach the scoring total in Game 3, while it only took him 20 attempts in Game 4.

Murray has been shooting well from downtown, hitting about 39 percent from behind the arc. Paired with his perfection from the free throw line in the series (18-18), Murray has become a nightmare matchup.

The scoring achievement will certainly mean a lot to Murray, but not as much as the clutch road win the Nuggets pulled out. They defeated the Blazers by a final score of 116-112, evening the series at two games apiece.

The Blazers lost a home game for the first time since early March, and they were the favorites to win the game heading into the matchup. While Game 4 didn't have the same amount of drama that the previous game held, it still went down to the wire.

Now, the match-up has become a three-game series. Game 5 is pivotal, and Murray will no doubt look to capitalize and continue his hot streak. Game 5 will take place on Tueday, May 7, in the Pepsi Center.
